As I anticipated 'Free Format' is still shown as being an extension in
N/E V 3.1 - displayed in
Blue from On-line Help. What did surprise me, because I think it was
available after COBOL 2002 got its blessing (?), it's still shown as an
extension (with an MF 'balloon' ) in the N/E V 4.0. on-line Language
Reference Manual

Are you sure Robert, about the notation ? I just checked Server Express
(which I think is what you are using). I referenced Version 4.0 SP1 -
which has to be the latest. A search on 'Free Format' doesn't help in
this instance, but if you check using 'Source' in the LRM - it still
shows as an MF 'balloon'.
