I have seen others with similar topic drifts.
But your observation may have to do with a) the status of COBOL for
current developement, and b) with the actual relationship of
participants in this forum to COBOL.
COBOL isn't in wide use compared to C, C++, Java or even Delphi,
and quite some of those participants in this forum do not use COBOL as
their main development tool.
