Sometimes when something appears to be clear, but when educated rulers deem
otherwise, rewriting is in order:
Our new Bill of Rights (written by various people that I picked up in a thread
on the internet):
Congress shall make no law abridging freedom of speech or of the press, unless
such abridgement shall be necessary to prevent unauthorized persons from
influencing the outcome of an election.
Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct,
or the Federal Government may order in the interests of choosing the proper
candidate, a Number of Electors.
In all criminal prosecutions, other than that of Terrorist or Accessory
thereof, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial.
A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the
right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed; except as to
arms which are deemed insufficiently relevant to the needs of a militia[1], or
those which are deemed excessively relevant to the needs of a militia[2]; or in
such other cases and manners as the Congress, the Legislatures of the several
States, the City Council of Bumfuque, New Jersey, or any other governmental
entity
whatsoever shall decree.
[1] E.g., sawed-off shotguns.
[2] E.g., assault rifles.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor
prohibited by it to the States, nor being mentioned once in the same
sentence with interstate commerce, are reserved to the States
respectively, or to the people, pending Supreme Court approval.

Michael Scheuer's the guy who tried repeatedly and unsuccessfully to get the
U.S. to go
after al-Qaeda and bin Laden. He's also the guy who says "In many ways,
Osama bin Laden hasn't needed to attack us because since 9/11, the world has
gone almost entirely in his direction". "The fire he is trying to start is
beginning to scratch". "Iraq has just been a horrendous setback in terms of
our progress against Islamic militancy".
