Had a look out of curiosity,. If I didn't actually speak English, be
buggered if I could pronounce the word using their phonetic representation.

Still takes a while to 'Americanize'. I had to convert my 'windscreen'
to a 'windshield' and my 'bonnet' to a 'hood'.

My wife followed later at an auto shop where I had been. The mechanic
grinned and said to her, "I knew where he came from. He said his wing
was damaged". Hell ! I WAS in the RAF for twelve years :-)

But the best is from a Brit. Bill will recall, he arranged a meeting for
me with this young man back in 2000 at Newbury. Steve Biggs was replying
in Answer Exchange to something I had written and he INVENTED the word
'productized". "Good grief !", I replied, "We've got Brits at it now !".
