Please allow me to introduce the COBOL User Groups (COBUG) to you
(http://cobug.com/). COBUG's aim is to bring together the grass-root
level of the COBOL community, changing the perception that "COBOL IS
DEAD."

Another aim of COBUG is to provide you a vendor-independent
repository of COBOL solutions and tools. COBUG has designed a
comprehensive web portal for COBOL users that contains references to
many COBOL resources.

In conjunction with COBUG's web portal and local COBOL user groups
(CUGs), you have a forum to:

  - Ask technical questions.

  - Receive presentations and training on COBOL products and tools.

  - Keep up on the direction of COBOL technology.

You can also network with other COBOL professionals and find employment
opportunities.

You can add to the repository of COBOL solutions and tools by joining
COBUG today, "http://www.cobug.com/cgi/cobug/register/register.cgi". If
you know of any other COBOL users, developers, programmers, and/or
managers that may have an interest in COBUG, please introduce COBUG to
them.

Thanks you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Thomas Perry
Executive Director
COBUG
