Thanks Jimmmy - I've actually done that. Hopefully between this group
and the MF board I'll get some helpful responses. I figure there's more
than enough expertise and experience out there - I can't be the only
one to have come across this question.
Moreover, I'm curious to see if anyone speaks to issues caused by
having a large number of files in a single directory? Perhaps if I
created two directories with 6,000 files each, that'd be OK whereas a
single directory with 12,000 might crush performance.
I'm looking for any better alternative to having source code scattered
among what is now over 30 directories, with no "balance" between
directory size whatsoever.
