Kelly,
As a former Micro Focus customer I can say that we developed and maintained
IMS applications and had no problems when deploying these back on the
mainframe. Of course, every IMS site is unique and uses a different set of
functions.
Micro Focus always aims to be highly compatible with the mainframe. Today we
have many successful customers using both our IMS and CICS emulations. We
continuously enhance our products and compatibility is a very strong focus
for us. I am informed by our development team that most of the scenarios you
describe are addressed by our latest releases, and that we may be able to
address the randomizer issue if we can work with you to understand your
implementation. I suggest that the best thing to do would be to raise
inidents with our SupportLine (if not already done) so that we can work with
you to address any 'show stopping' issues.
Best regards,
Brian Crane
Micro Focus
