Ummmmm... have there been any timed studies to show which environments are
best for these kinds of techniques in terms of operator throughput?
Granted that I come to this with more than a small bit of 'green-screen
prejudice'... but if you're looking to maintain a constant rate over
12,000 keystrokes/hr the more recognition you require from the operator
less effective the technique might be.
(Side observation... you might want to ask any of your colleagues if
they've read 'The Principles of Scientific Management' by Frederick
Winsolw Taylor; it might give a slightly... different perspective as to
how humans are to fit into the work environment and the work environment
is to fit humans.)
