The first part of my post has been lopped: Judson quoted the Bible where
it states that Lot was righteous. If it's righteous to treat your
daughters as he did - sorry, I don't buy it. It's disgusting at the
very best. I was aware of the bit about his daughters getting knocked
up; but as I read it, they decided on their own to do; so while Lot is
guilty of incest, it wasn't something he did voluntarily.

Cain got a wife from somewhere, all right; but it doesn't follow that
she must have been an un-named descendant of Adam & Eve. The Bible
doesn't say that; and I really don't think you can use something that
the Bible DOESN'T say as an answer to anything. I can do that, too;
it's easy. But it doesn't make it so.
