It's just as well. I can't remember what that series converges to (it's been a *long* time), but ln(e) is 1, and (sin(theta)**2 + cos(theta)**2) is 1, so unless I'm mistaken, you probably want to leave the series out of the equation entirely.

(I've had three bosses who had PhDs in physics. One of them was ... interesting, but all of them were better than I was at math.)
