The answer is to find yourself a real veteran, do it in assembler on
the mainframe, and call the assembler routine from your cobol program.
It's really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued
But speaking as such a veteran
And not meaning to be rude,
I wouldn't use Assembler as a solution.
