The real question in this case is not what compiler was used to compile
it in 1994 [although that could imply some other changes to the source],
but what compiler do you have now that will be used to compile the
changed program?
It seems, Mr Gehr, that such information might - in a shop where compiles
have to be done by DBAs - be considered Top Secret.
Do they also not allow programmers to look at the compile listing for
their programs?
I barely know what *I* allow, Mr Gehr, let alone anyone else.
