I know about Open Cobol and we are using it, so I know about the the C
code that is generated. This would be something I could understand. I
did also read a bit about LegacyJ, what I'd like to know is if there
are successful projects completed.
Thanks HansJ
I could be mistaken on this, but I *think* that checking in a Java newsgroup
rather than a COBOL one might be a better place to get input/reports about
successful COBOL -> Java conversions projects. Having said that, I don't
subscribe to such groups so you may have already asked there too.
P.S. My experience is much more on the IBM mainframe and PC sides of the world.
However, I have noticed that the IBM <mainframe> newsgroups mostly have
information on FAILED conversion/migration projects and not on those that
succeed.
