It is difficult to write Cobol in metered form i.e. blank verse. I've tried. Consider
PERFORM (foo) in iambic tetrameter. Foo would need six syllables, which would probably
exceed the 30 character limit. One could use caesura, placing two statements on the same
line, but then it wouldn't look like Cobol.
