Now - eathquakes in East Acton - another story altogether...:-)
We do get earthquakes in the UK. 5 in the last 30 days (although one
was centred on France) with magnitudes up to 2.9 on the Richter scale.
Well, seems that one went straight through to Wally. :(
Being able to measure them, and define them as 'earthquakes' doesn't really
qualify them as such does it? I'm sure we could measure the effect of my
neighbour's snoring if we really tried. The environmentalists would leap to
the conclusion that the world is cracking up because we have so many more
earthquakes now than we used to have, and it's all caused by 'nuculears.'
Even the inimitable Mr. Dashwood missed that one. It's nearly as old as
COBOL. Goon - Google it.
