Incidentally, Ubuntu changed their indexing in their latest release. It
wouldn't be that big of a deal, except that it pegs the processor, and
my laptop has heat issues... :(
Image how hot it would be with Vista on it :<
There are thin (10mm) fan boxes that plug into USB that are designed
to sit under the laptop and keep it cool. Some work fine even on an
actual lap, some are best when on a desk or table and can tilt the
laptop to a better angle - legs make it into a wedge.
