Uh, not exactly. Of the ~34 miracles attributed to Jesus (including - sort
of - resurrection), He was not the first. All had predecessors or one kind
or another.

Some, admittedly, are only similar. Jesus walked on water, Moses moved the
water out of the way so the Israelites could walk on the mud. Heck, even
mere mortals can match some of Jesus' spectaculars (such as reanimating the
dead or restoring sight).

Regarding "ascending bodily into Heaven," I refer you to Enoch, who didn't
even die before making the trip ("... and Enoch was no more for God took
him...")

Anyway, that stuff is not terribly important. To the believer, Jesus was who
He was because of who He was - not because of "miracles." God does not
expect us to differentiate between miracles and magic. If "miracles" were
THE test of divinity, we'd all be worshiping Siegfreud and Roy.
