i have been in your place. any possible responsible specific reply would require more info than i have. i will tell you how i handled like situations.

when i was an applications programmer i forwarded the call/request to someone senior to me. when i was a senior p/a i passed the call/request to someone senior to me. when i eventually became that someone senior fellow i became an educator or trainer or hand-holder; and if/when that failed i did hang up the phone... and spent time explaining my action to someone senior to me. most situations were handled with education/training. sometime you just have to hold someones hand. but there are those few who just need to hear a 'click'... and let the senior positions sort it out.

i do not envy you your situation.

new subject. i'm getting lots of comments about posting with grabit. what/how do you prepare your posts?
