No, not IND$FILE. The service is called FILEXFER. It works by
establishing a separate (ie not via your emulator) connection to your

This is getting into the guts of things where I have even less knowledge
than usual... but when I issue a command line TSO IND$FILE I get a display
of:
IBM File Transfer Program: Version 1.1.1
PTF: UR43604 Date: 05/09/95 Size: 50C8 Bytes
.... and then ***, <enter> and I'm back where I was... while TSO FILEXFER
get me COMMAND FILEXFER NOT FOUND.
(we use QWS3270 terminal emulation software and file transfers have to
occur at the TSO prompt (option 6))
