Sorry Charlie , I can't respond within the thread because there are too many
headers and the news server won't accept it.
Programmers tend to be a critical bunch and are often hardest on
themselves. Too critical. Too perfectionist. It helps with the work but
can be hard on people.
I am tyring to get more fit and trim. I had lost more than 50 lbs before
we lost our baby but with all the stress I gained it all back. In the
process I am getting some psychological help. When I described my
successes and "failures" (actually opportunities to learn) the feedback I
got is that I am usually too hard on myself and I should congratulate
myself more on my successes. I suggest that you do the same. I don't see
very many people (including myself, even though I have had lots of ideas
along that line) making useful and free resources available. Nothing is
ever perfect but you can be proud of what you have done.
Thank you, Charlie. Your kindness is noted and appreciated.
I AM proud of parts of it...:-) And even the bits I'm not proud of, were
part of a useful learning experience.
On the whole, I think it is acceptable, but I'm still happy to consider
criticisms.
Pete.
