Record length 374


The program computed a record length of 374 bytes, but the true length is
508 bytes. The program clearly did not honor the 4th line [ PIC X(500) ],
but instead totaled the lengths of the redefined part.

The program also did not carry over the first line [ NSFIRMP] to the
output - probably because it does not have a level number. Instead the
program took the first two letters ["NS"] of the variable name and, I
guess, assumed that was a level...

We use this construct (no initial level number) in situations like:

01 COPY something.COB

or

01 SOME-OLD-THING.
02 COPY something.COB

depending on the situation.

I spent a little time looking through this and have taken some liberties
with Robert's code.

It now appears to be working correctly. It also creates a dummy 01 level in
cases where a partial layout is presented to it, and handles the case of an
01 without a level. The record byte count at the end of the report is now
accurate also.

I'll update the Web Site over the weekend and advise here when updates are
available.

(I'm not sure but I think I set the tool to look for updates every 7 days if
a web connection is available... might be better to just re-download
manually.)
