It's a cloudless Monday morning here in Tauranga and we are heading into the
home straight for Xmas Day.

Today I'll be fiddling with the cobdata web site, picking up a turkey, and
taking a walk along a less populated beach. A time for pleasant relaxation.

I usually like to spend Xmas morning thinking about, and drinking to,
"absent friends".

That includes you guys... :-)

It is just one day of the year when I think about the people who are
overseas, or have shuffled off this mortal coil, and recognise that they are
or were an essential part of my own ongoing growth. I'm thankful for all of
them.

It isn't sad or maudlin; I usually feel refreshed and energised by it
(although that could be the alcohol, of course...) and ready to meet friends
in the afternoon and share my turkey in the evening.

To all of you, I wish you a pleasant time over the holidays. If this is a
religious occasion for you, I hope you find peace and serenity. If it isn't,
just enjoy your families and friends; remember they won't always be there.
If you are on your own (and don't want to be) remember you are part of a
family which is approaching 6.6 billion people. To help make this real for
you, here's a link:

And, despite the uncertainty of the times, let's hope the New Year is
prosperous for all of us. :-)

Sincere best wishes to all in CLC.

Pete.

Thanks for the wishes. Although I have to admit this is the worst
Christmas season I've had since the one I spent in Viet Nam in 1968,
I'll still find peace and some joy and wish the same for all.

Regards,
