Well... given that (according to the first posting) a total of five
records (out of 77,000+ are throwing 'bad' DISPLAYs and that the data are
manipulated by a SUBTRACT... GIVING, generating ZAP and AP structures...
it seems to me, kinda sorta almost, that the transfer method being used (I
think it is called 'Connect Direct') is not causing the classic
ASCII-to-ECBDIC 'COMP-3 don't work that way' mess.

I just threw that out there because it is 'a' cause of similar problems,
just in case you and I are not the only ones who read this NG.

Oh, a 'for the newbies', eh? Well... what happens when the Space Aliens
who are monitoring this group catch on... and begin to corrupt all our
batch payroll systems?
