As i was taught in my first computer programming class, e'er-so-long ago,
there was *another* computer programming class which the instructor began
with 'Everyone who drives a car with a manual transmission, raise your
hand... all right, *none* of you should be writing applications which need
computer-user interaction.'
(This was told by the same instructor who asked 'What is the definition of
a computer-user? A computer-user is someone who, when prompted for a 'y
or n' response, keys in the numeral '8'; write *all* of your user
applications with this in mind and your users will love you.')
