    I tried changing the Transparent mode and it appears that once an image is
    entered into the ImageList the transparency is forgotten or changed to
    white. As a coincidence all my images have the lower left pixel as the
    background, but the image I am having trouble with has white elsewhere. I
    have noticed another image doing the reverse too - that is, white is
    appearing in a place that should be transparent. I shall go back to mspaint
    and touch these images again.
