Accessing Windows Firewall Interfaces in XP SP2

Anyone have a clue about accessing Windows Firewall Interfaces in XP
SP2?

I have an app that my clients use to send us files via FTP and need a
way to determine if a firewall is up and if so who's (XP's, Norton,
McAfee, etc.). Many of my clients are not PC literate enough to know
if they even have a firewall installed.

Thanks for any help.
