I wonder if Mike Lischke's Virtual Treeview would do this job.

I tried it and I have problems painting its nodes. It goes messy when I try to change the colours in the part where the tree lines and +- button are painted.
Devexpress has a nice looking vertical grid and I tried to get the same effect with VirtualTreeView, where the children nodes have on the right side the same colour of their parent... it ended with just a lot of lost time.
I checked the available examples from Lischke site but none shows something similar.

Does anybody have other examples?

P.S. it seems my answer to Maarten Wiltkin got lost in the hyperspace...
