Hi!
I am trying to connect from a delphi app to a Sybase ASA8 database.
The App is on a development station (on the internal LAN), the database
on a webserver (in a DMZ). Between the 2, a firewall.
(I had no trouble before the firewall went up).

I can connect to the database using dbping and from Sybase Central.
I can NOT connect from an ADO connection object in Delphi using a
connection string, no matter what I tried.

It seems the problem is that 'Data Source' on the ADO data link
properties dialog is expecting a SERVICE.
How can I specify the machine (name or IP address) as well as the
service name and the database name?

Regards,
J Nicolet
