    I am using TDadasetField with TADODataset obtained using Shape command and
    it works for me, so it should be the way to make it work, but probably you
    will need to refer info about MSDataShape provider. BTW TClientDataSet have
    similar features and I believe that it will be easier to use it for you
    task.
