You know more about the specs than I do, of course, but I'd strongly
suggest you consider SQL server for many reasons. We had the same decision
to make (over Oracle) a few years back and wisely chose SQL Server. Oracle
is very costly in more ways than one (upfront, admin costs, etc.)

There are however differences how both products deal with concurrency; in Oracle readers don't get blocked while this may happen in SQL Server. ...
