Locks and Seek under Access 2K

I'm finding some problems on using locks (and seek method) in the
following situation :

. Delphi 5 + ADO Express
. Access 2000 (Jet 4.0)

it seems that Optimistic locks works only with Client-side cursors,
while in this situatin the Seek method is not supported.

Am I forgottimg something?
