The installation was installed by customer's IT person who installed it
remotely and I watched the whole process and the ODBC and OLE DB provider
was ticked. I will use BDE to have a try. I guess there is transalation
problem for ADO with CA v4r4 driver and M$ jet engine can translate it
properly.
