Yes, MS Access is not needed.
However you do need the right Windows DLLs installed (MDAC and the Jet 4.0
OLEDB data provider). The good news is that Win XP comes with these DLLs as
standard, and from experience most of the earlier versions of Windows have
them too. Google for Deploying and ADO for more details - it has been
discussed many times before.
