from my experience be carefull!
In our company we use a special w2k version with MDAC 2.5, when I updated it to the newest MDAC 2.8 I got severe problems such as a problem with clip art manager (it doesn't work any more). There is also a problem to fall back (install 2.5 again doesn't work). The only solution was to remove windows and install new.
