Unlikely that MDAC is the problem. Much more likely is a problem with the
path of the DB file in connection component i.e. when the component loads it
tries to use a folder path that does not exist on the XP machine.
But that is a wild guess because you don't say what error you get. Provide
more information so people can help you before trying to rollback MDAC.
