So you have a Jet OLEDB data provider problem not MDAC!
What is date stamp and version of msjet40.dll?

Here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;239114 might
help you with Jet downloads if something has become corrupted. But all the
XP boxes I've come across have Jet (as well as MDAC despite "deprication")
installed out the wrapper.
