Betterado error in Delphi 2006

In Delphi 2006 I am receiving the following error when I use Betterado
component:

Access violation in module oleaut32.dll

$166[1ACB7716]{BetterADO.bpl}
Betteradodataset.TBetterADODataSet.GetFieldData + $166
+ $A[52303498]{dbrtl100.bpl} DB.DB.TField.GetData (Line 3873, "DB.pas" + 8)
+ $A
+ $A[523052AA]{dbrtl100.bpl} DB.DB.TWideStringField.GetValue (Line 4730,
"DB.pas" + 9) + $A

The same program is working without an error in Delphi 7 on the same PC.

Is there a problem with Betterado in Delphi 2006 ?
