Problem with date time editing

I have a problem on one large (networked) site with date time editing.
The database is MS-Access shared by a couple of users in a small, remote
office. They have a workgroup server linking back to a larger corporate
server. (WinXP)
Essentially, when the user edits a time field and saves the record, the
time value reverts to 0, i.e. 12:00:00am
Note the application is widely used by other organisations. I have
confirmed that it works OK in all other locations except in this
particular office.
Putting it another way, the problem is unique to this site.
Also, I can take their database off site and it works OK, so the problem
does not seem to be in the database.
I use DevExpress date/ time editors in the application, but have tried
other field editors only to get the same result.
I am at my wits' end on this one and would welcome any insight or maybe
someone's had a similar experience?
TIA
