Re: ADO and subquery
If I use subquerys within a query in a ADOdataset I get very often a
EAccessviolation in module 'ntdll.dll' or module 'msvcrt.dll'.
When I check these query in SQL Query Analyzer it runs without a problem.
Is this a ADO problem?
The query is something like
select a.field1
,a.date
,a.relationid
,(select o.name from relation o where o.relationid = a.relationid)
,a.field2
from table1 a
where a.date = :date
There is no problem when I skip the subquery.
It is not ADO. Query syntax and execution is handled in your Ole DB driver.
I am guessing your are using MS SQL server here. I haven't had any problems
like this and I use frequent subqueries.
Have you updated your ADO. That will also install updates to SQLOLEDB
You are using this Oledb driver and not ODBC?
