wrong interpretation ADO or Jet 4.0

Recently I wrote post "TXT delimited (;) files problem" where numbers were
interpretated as dates (dd.mm.yyyy hh:mm:ss), and i solved it by adding
IMEX=1 to my connection string.
Now i have the same problem, but nothing works.
The table is quite large, date (mm/yy) appears only on one column header,
and everything else is text and real(float) numbers.
Any solutions?
