OK, now I got it - and yes that makes it return the exact list I was looking for (all local and available servers from the network)!
Do you have any links to other examples related to browsing the DB information, in case I would like to find out which versions the servers are and such? The docs at MSDN do not reveal anything very easily...
Also have you checked that MS SQL Server Management Studio can list yours 2005 Server instance from remote computer without manual registration.
I did not check, but in principle, I will need to find out which servers are available to be used. Local ones have more priority as they can also be used to create new databases - and for that especially, I need to know which server to use.
