The reason for the different filenames is because I am still actively
maintaining versions 2 through 4 (although most of my time goes into the
latest version) and there are people who use different versions in some of
their applications. With different filenames that's not a hassle to do.
There are situations in which FastMM3 is slightly faster than FastMM4, so I
don't want to force everyone to the latest version. There are also people
that still use FastMM2, so I don't want to kill that version off either.
I guess what would make most sense would be for me to rename FastMM.pas to
FastMM2.pas. I can see that the current name may be confusing.
Regards,
Pierre
