Fastcode - Sponsoring

Hi All
Would it be improper to suggest people/companies to sponsor our project with
money?
I need some target machines and my wife does not think that she should pay
for them. If somebody is willing to sponsor some money, little or more, then
I can update the target machines. The project will benefit from this, but I
as a person will offcourse benefit too. The Fastcode project is not meant to
be commercial in anyway, but I think it would be proper if I got some help
to sponsor target machines. I think we could simply write on the Fastcode
site "Please send money" - phrased a little differently perhaps ;-) Also
publish a bank account number. I think it would be proper to publish how
much money comes in and what it is used for. I am not of the opinion that I
should earn any money on the project, just get some help with the expences.
I am currently in need of a Banias and a Dothan PC. I would also be very
nice to get a Pentium D - dual core, and a dual core Opteron with SSE3
support.
What is your opinion?
