While rare, such types may have been used in flat files (F: file of
SomeRec) in ye olde DOS days.. removing the Real48 would make it a
PITA to make apps that could import the old data into newer formats.
They can remove Real48 from the compiler when they introduce operator
overloading: then they can make a Real48 type using said operator
overloading, and include it in the RTL as an example of how to create
an operator overloaded type. :P
