I like that! It would be nice to have a "Restore to default" function. (and perhaps also: "Set as default"). And it keeps asking the path to FastMM4options.inc every time...
Going to doodle more over the weekend so we'll see.
And ye, it was oughta ask the path only once but honestly I didnt test it much, just saw the topic and threw the dialog together :)
But, after giving it another thought, perhaps one could enumerate the checkboxes (Or some other type of boolean controls) from the .inc file, if only there would be some consise format to enumerate from. Like code documenting using comments.
For example something like the following in the .inc file:
{#T MyTabName}
{#D
Desciption, first line used as .Hint property on the checkboxes
Rest of the lines going into the help shown using the
[?] titlebar button perhaps, to display a more precise information
}
{$define MyCompilerDirective}Then the dialog tool could remain the same with perhaps some external settings to direct it to the correct .inc file, changes in the file would reflect to the dialog automatically.
Integrating the dialog to the IDE with OTAPI and maintaining project specific settings would be nice (And easy to implement with OTAPI i think).
The restore/save defaults is a good option to have.
And so the weekend project has transformed into weeks and those weeks into months. The dialog will be complete at 2010 <g>
LOL, you want to make hyper-performant checkboxes? :-)
<g> .
