Re: Fastcode Poll IntToStr64/32 Two Challenges or One

Changes in the B&V code are always simultaneous. Therefore this goes

Why? Did you change the IntToStr64 benchmark everytime you modified
the IntToStr32 benchmark?

Yes. The only exception was when you and Sasa submitted alternate
benchmarks for IntToStr32 but not for IntToStr64.

If there is a bug in the IntToStr64 validation do you always have the
same bug in the IntToStr32 validation?

I would think so, yes.

only for function submission. Like for the FP case, i think that
people aught to (but not have to) submit these functions together.

If there is no rule that both functions will always follow each
other, then you should not assume that to be the case. Based on
experience I think that they will always come one by one just after
you have made a release ;-)

If you change the code for the IntToStr64 benchmark and jump the
version number by 1, will you then send a private mail to me and
Jouni that we can keep all the IntToStr32 results and validations but
we need to rerelease them all under the new version number?

ISTM that is not relevant yet, since the B&V is currently < 1.0.0. When
it will be, the changelog which goes with the release (posted on both
the NG and Yahoo! groups) will surely mention it specifically in rare
case that one was changed but the other was not.
