The Win32 FreePascal should :-) be easy.
But for the linux part ? 6 new PC´s or dual boot ?
I'd suggest VMWare or virtual PC. Btw, many of the Fastcode
routines already work just fine with Kylix.
Obviously for ASM versions, PIC should be taken into account
in the long run (and if not, it needs to be IFDEFed so there
is a fallback for shared objects).
For CrossFPC the latest news May 2005. Is CrossFPC dead or ?
I had started the project back in 2005, but then there had
been signs of hope that Borland might again put more focus
on native code compilers, which didn't work out. Now that the
announcement ist out that CodeGear also won't invest into
native code, I've got no other choice. Our company needs
32Bit Linux today, and Win64 and Linux64 "tomorrow".
I'm right giving new live to the CrossFPC project, and within
the next few days and weeks you'll see detailed announcements
and press releases on it.
Ps. Is there some legal problems ? codegear/fastcode
Nope - Fastcode doesn't distribute any Borland-copyrighted
code.
