expandUNCfilename and mapped drives

If a drive is mapped as M: then will
ExpandUNCFilename('m:\folder1\file1.txt') be returned as m: or as the
expanded \\ servername\sharename\folder1\file1.txt ???
Is there any Win OS version which changes this behavior?
