Access Denied on Service Startup

Hi,

I am trying to (manually) start a Delphi-7-developed service in WinXP Pro
via the Services console, and get an "Error 5: Access is denied" error. My
suspicion is that something about the permissions somewhere is not right,
but what?

I can start and stop other services, having the admin rights to the machine.
The service is configured to run under the Local System account and it
installs (and uninstalls) OK. It just would not run.
