Is my memory failing?

Following some recent posts, I thought I would check up on the current
whereabouts of Del Yocam, the CEO at Borland (Inprise) prior to Dale
Fuller taking over. Imagine my surprise when I visit this site:

  http://www.softricity.com/news/042301.asp

and see this quote:

"Yocam's leadership as Chairman and CEO is credited with the late '90
turn around and dramatic transformation of Borland International, which
he returned to profitability and stability."

So then I visited another site:

  http://www.delphi32.com/latest_p5.asp

and found this:

"On March 30th Inprise annouced the resignation of Del Yocam, CEO and
Kathleen Fisher CFO. No explanation was given. Well, today they
clarified that the head man, Yocam was asked to leave by the board of
directors. Inprise is also expecting lower than expected earnings, in
fact they are going to report a loss! The share price has been down....
and down... and down..."

I visited another site:

  http://news.com.com/2100-1001-224367.html?legacy=cnet

and got this:

"Inprise today said it has hired former Apple and WhoWhere executive
Dale Fuller as its interim chief executive and that first-quarter
financial results will fall significantly below Wall Street
expectations.
...
Inprise said the company expects to report a first-quarter loss of 54
cents to 56 cents a share. Inprise also expects to post a loss for the
full year when it reports earnings on April 22. First Call, a consensus
of analysts, had predicted a break-even first quarter and fiscal year
earnings of 14 cents per share. "

Bear in mind that Dale Fuller was hired approx 14 days after Del
Yocam's resignation was publicly announced. This begs the question
about the claim in the first quote that Yocam returned Borland to
profitability.

Anyone else care to comment?
